Panda-monium!

OK, the Giant Panda is not quite on the brink of extinction, but you could hardly describe the species as “thriving” despite the best efforts of Chinese scientists and zoologists around the world to encourage breeding programmes. So the arrival of two pandas at Edinburgh Zoo is a cause for celebration for the whole of the UK – and quite possibly the only chance any of us will ever have to see these gorgeous creatures up close.
